Celebrating Engineers

February 19th-24th was National Engineers Week. We celebrated by showing a film called Dream Big in McCall and Cascade and introducing the community to STEM programs in Valley County. This is the picture of the event pre showing at the McCall Airport in hanger # 102. I chose to put together this event as my Choice AmeriCorps Service Day because it aligned with extension's community development and 4-H goals to provide STEM opportunities for kids and get kids excited about STEM careers. More importantly, I think that if we have a day to celebrate Presidents some who seem to create problems then we definitely should celebrate engineers who are coming up with solutions to issues many which revolve around our environment.
